Living a healthy life

So lets talk a little bit about health and what it looks like to live a healthy life. I know not many people like this subject because it requires some self-analyzing and discipline. However here at EHA we know that one can do more and perform better when they are taking care of themselves physically. At our Healthy Living Workshop on April 16 we discussed the importance of fueling your body with the right food and exercise. In order to provide our residents with the right tools to a healthier life. Residents enjoyed some delicious food and exercise by participating in zumba. Here I will list a couple of tips you can follow daily in order to make your life a bit healthier and give your body more energy to run on throughout the day.
Tip # 1: Try to get an average of 7 - 8 hours of sleep at night
Tip # 2: Avoid siting for long periods of time. Try to stand up and stretch every once in awhile if you work in an environment where you sit for quite awhile.
Tip # 3: Eat more greens. Greens such as broccoli, kale, asparagus are so good for you. They provide your body with much needed vitamins and minerals.
Tip # 4: Do not skip breakfast. Some people may be able to function without eating breakfast, but eating breakfast can help you be more focus and alert in the mornings.
Tip # 5: Be productive. Walk, run, swim, jump rope, or ride your bike for about an hour. Being productive will help your metabolism by making sure it doesn't slow down. So being active for at least 45 minutes - 1 hour will help you live a healthier lifestyle.
