Edinburg Housing Authority is proud of Leonardo (Leo) Oros a Lantana resident who graduated from Edinburg North High School and joined a branch of the U.S. Armed Forces. Contrary to most high school graduates, Oros enrolled in the US Navy in September of 2015, and was sent to Chicago, Illinois to complete a 9-week boot camp program which he graduated from on October 30, 2015. Upon graduating from boot camp, Oros began school in Pensacola, Florida where he graduated in Decmeber with a specification in the mechanics of aviation. Currently, he is stationed in Norfolk, Virginia where he awaits for his deployment to Bahrain, Asia. Parents Leobardo Oros and Maria Elena Oros and other family members are extremely proud of Leo’s accomplishments. The family is completely supportive of his decision to enlist in the Navy, and have high hopes for his future. The Edinburg Housing Authority wishes Leo the best in his future venture as a sailor in the U.S. Navy!
